This is my second Tamriel map for Minecraft, my last one was a massive success but it just wasn't right. The size was small and the map had many inaccuracies. So I decided to make another one, a much bigger, more accurate one. :)

undefinedWe all know Tamriel, it is the main continent on Nirn in the Elder Scrolls universe. It is home to most major races and is an extremely beatiful continent that has ever sort of terrain imaginable. From desert to jungle, freezing north to boiling east. I have tried to capture this in Minecraft, but I probably have made mistakes because I have made Tamriel as my interpertation of it. I couldn't get images for everywhere so I had to go with concept art and what I thought would fit, and so it might not look like what you expected.

You might wonder where are the trees but they are at 36% intensity and didn't show up at that zoomed out range, but they are there. There is also swamp in Argonia/Black Marsh.

undefined

Skyrim was the most detailed province I could make, It has a mix of mountains, plains, snow and rivers. There are no custom pine trees they are only the ones supplied with vanilla. Haafingaar, or Solitude, has snowy mountains in the north west. It does not have the arch. There is the swamp just across the water from it, along with a small mountain range.

The north is icy islands covered in snow and ice. Along with some pines on the snow, it isn't extremely mountainous. The rest is either icy mountains or pine/oak forests. There are rivers running through the Reach and Whiterun area.

undefined

Hammerfell is half normal/red sand and the other half foresty grass lands. Along with some volcanoes on a peninsula. Most of the desert is flat aside from one bit of canyons near the centre which has water, and some steep canyon walls. The foresty grasslands is bordered by high icy mountains.

undefined

High-rock is half rocky mountains and the other half is pine/oak forests. It borders Skyrim in the north only seperated by some mountains. There are many icy mountains to the west of High-rock and to the south across the water from Hammerfell which is covered in pine/oak forests.

undefined

Summerset Isle is a large enough island to the south west of Valenwood and Hammerfell. It is mainly covered in oak and has one big mountain in the centre. The mountain in the centre is covered in rock with sandstone on the cliffs/steep parts. It has Sand/RedSand/Grass mixed in some places on the island. There are also small islands around the islands.

undefined

What can I say? Valenwood is a pretty simple/non-detailed province when you don't have custom trees. It is just covered in lots and lots and lots of oak trees. Simple :)

undefined

Elsweyr is a continent with two terrains, two completely different terrains that are basically complete opposites. In the east we have the scorching hot deserts and then to the south west we have the humid, wet jungle. There is a river running through the centre of the jungle. In the desert it is a mix between sandy sand and red sand. That's all from Elsweyr.

undefined

Black marsh is a extremely marshy and swampy land. It is filled with waterways and in concept is impossible to get to it on foot. To the north is a forest land and the south is the swamps. The land isn't one and there are many many small islands in the swamps. It's extremely humid.

undefined

Morrowind has two terrains, there is the inhospitable ash wastelands of Vvardenfell and the lush fertile land to the east of that. There are areas on Vvardenfell which are hospitable but they are pretty dry. There is a massive volcano in the centre of the island and it is filled with lava. I would not advise jumping into it, even if that Breton told you the potion would keep you alive. The peninsula to the east is filled with lush oak forests and to the north there are some icy mountains.

undefined

Cyrodill, home to the mighty Imperial city and even greater Imperial Empire. For Cyrodiil I decided to make it completely lush oak forest, but after I had exported it I found out there was some jungle to the west... sorry if this annoys you. To the north rises the mountains of Skyrim and to the south west is Elsweyr and the scorching hot desert. To the south east is Black Marsh which is the drainage for the area and why it is not overflowed with water. To the east is Morrowind and the island of Vvardenfell.

If you are wondering the details, here they are.

The map is 12k x 10k. It was made in around four non-stop days. It took five hours and thirty minutes to export the map to Minecraft and a few hours to upload it to Mediafire. Updates will be made in massive chunks because of the time it takes to export to Minecraft. The renders took around 5 hours in all.

If you like the map don't forget to diamond, favourite and if you want more content then subscribe! Comment if you notice any problems and I'll be sure to get back to you. :)

If you could make a map of where all the countries are, that would be great. I wanted to build Lakeview Manor in the correct spot, but I have no idea where I am on the map!

The lakes/rivers aren't made that accurately so it would be extremely hard to accurately map out the terrain sorry ;-;
