I have seen quitte some entries come by but I couldn't find a tread in the forums or something else.
Could you give a link to the challenge/competition since I am curious about it,

If you want to enter in the challenge, the deadline for the US is 4/6/14 and for the rest of the world it is 4/4/16.
I feel greatly appreciated by being commented on by someone with a level like yours, and would greatly like your opinion on the quality of this map!

Since it is stated no redstone allowed and short deadline i won't enter it.
The map:
I like the main idea of the 'castle walls'. It has some nice turns in it. Although at some points it is broken the rest is plain straight. Personally giving the build a more destroyed look, say on a straight place put up the remeans of a cannon strike. It will give the build a better look and gives the players some cover/surpise point.
The small islands around the main part are nice, but I am afraid of being a sitting duck while on the islands. Besides there is only one way to enter of leave try to add a second way. It will give more routes for players and more possibilities.
Levels:
Being a high level doesn't mean I am automatic better than you. A blogger isn't a redstoner (like me, and neither am I a minigame map maker). Besides the main goal should be having fun in minecraft not levels gaining that is sadly often forgotten on this site.

I will definately add the cannon strike idea, I really like that one.
I also agree on the one-way thing. It's only 90% done, so I will add some more bridges too!
