65 Million Years in the making!
A project that started way back in 2012 is now coming to Planet Minecraft! Are you brave enough to endure the dangers of Isla Nublar?
What is this project all about?
Unlike the many other Jurassic Park projects on Planet Minecraft, this map is not a 100% accurate representation of the Isla Nublar island we all know and love. The main focus of this project is recreating famous scenes from the Micheal Crichton novel (1990), Steven Spielberg motion picture (1993) and Telltale game (2010) in one big map. Together with a custom modpack and resourcepack, these detailed diorama's try to create a believable and realistic environment with a big focus on immersion. When walking around, the player will notice that every aspect of this park is custom made to make sure that nothing feels artificial. Trees, roads, rivers ... you name it and we terraformed it!
What to expect?
As of now there are several locations you can visit! Well-known sites such as the famous Visitor Center, Marine Facility, North Dock, East Dock, InGen Facility ... are all open to the public. We also provide an automated tour that will take you to several dinosaurs paddocks. So sit back, relax and listen to our custom tour guide whilst watching these majestic creatures roam around. No expense has been spared! If you have a more technical kind of mind, then don't be afraid to explore several facilities scattered throughout the park that provide safety and power to our guests! It is up to you to explore the park and create your own adventure.
Work in progress
As of now this map is still a W.I.P. Many features, buildings and scenes are still being added and it will take some time before this project is ready for an official release. The modpack included in this download is required and quite heavy, so low-end computers might not be able to run this map. Most of the buildings in this map feature sculpted blocks and customized machinery so running this project without the aforementioned requirements will result in a very buggy and crashy experience. A mod-list will be mentioned at the end of this description. The resource pack does not change much, but is needed when you want the correct audio during the tour ride. Be sure to give feedback!
