Everything started when the "betapier", a containier terminal, was built in 1968 at this time greenville and champeray were mudy lands with a very low land value.

However everything changed in 3 decades, from the 60's to the 90's the housing demand and the land value skyrocketed thanks to greenville and the Hobooken, moreover the existing "betapier" will soon be unable to maintain with the growing container transport demand.

In responce a new container terminal was planed in the east Novock in 1994, the terminal was finished in just 9 years (1996- 2005).

The "betapier" was left abandonned in 2007 and real estate projects started to be planed but the land had to be cleaned because the land extention was made with trash.

The land was free to build in 2015 and the first developement started in 2017, the greenville station docks 5 and 6 were built in 2018-2019 at the same time as the "living pier" metro station.
