i built this as a decently shaped island with custom terrain. this is a 3-month project that i worked on, on my friend's private server as for an entry for a server-wide build contest. every single structure is meant to be taken uniquely. each and every structure had it's own trait of thought going into it's design, different from the other structures. at the same time i wanted this project to feel like a City. some of the structures look better in the dark, mainly  because i designed this project be able to mostly handle mob spawning fine in the dark in terms of walk-ways and places i expect people to check out. for the most part i took this contest build more experimentally for figuring out more on how i want to build things more and how i can elaborate on design to more of my goal in potential. i think in that aspect, the build was considerably successful, in the fact that i've actually learned a little bit from trying to make it. the buildings weren't fully intended to go together, so don't try looking for similarities in all of them to each other and just expect them to stand out in their given terrain.

of course, there was a number of ideas that i could have done or wanted to do, but time to work on it was limited, so i had to make do with what i would take for the minimum of considering it done. if you check this out, just beware of the tree! there's so much glass and glass panes in it, when you go near it, you'll notice some dropping of framerate.

along the list of things i wanted to do if i had more time is:

• something tying in some of the structures together somehow
  
  
• maybe like a residential area
  
  
• i did once consider a vending machine

some of the images i posted were of it's WIP times. so if it looks somewhat emptier in areas, you'll know why. and if you think you know something cool i could have tried for tying in the structures more, i would love to hear them for future build ideas.

fun fact: i only named one of the structures in this build, and that would be The Omega. (you'll know it when you see it!)
