Hello! this is my first official project on PMC, it is a german/ nordic city, based slightly on skyrim. So far I have built about a fourth of the city.
Also, I will add (probably counts for half of the project) a very large temple, trying to make it look all bright and sunshiney (hard with this texturepack).
Credit for the map goes to Kingzogan on minecraftforums.net , the map is called Rocky Mountains Replica. The only terrain i did was the water , and paths if you count those as terrain.
EDIT: I am no longer working on this build! this isthe full potential I plann to reach, as i am focusing on other projects.

you wanted some tips.
Maybe add some more windows or towers to some of the houses roofs.
For a nice nordic roof i mostly go in a patton of 1 block for 3 up then 2 high for 3 up then 3 blocks high antill the roof meets. sorry thats hard to explane.
Around the windows for a shutter look i use cobble and wood fences or ladders and trap doors.
To get a nice look to a house make your 1st floor. Then come 1 block out making the house 1 block wider/sticking out on the 2nd floor and the same can be done on the next floor.Use stairs on the coners to make it look nice.
I tend to use a lot of real life buildings for inpiration.
Tips for images. Look up a program called chunky. Its a very easy to use minecraft render program. After using chunky use photoshop to bring back the color.
Hope some of this helps.
anyone know how to up the quality?
