My new project, i work on it, when i need to break working on my star destroyer XD
Yamato battleship from 1944
The Yamato battleship is the famous ship of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II.
It is know as the biggest battleship in history! It has 9 huge artillery guns with caliber 460-millimetre.
I make this project with a friend, called Laesergurke, in Minecraft. So thanks for your help! :)
First i wanted to build the Bismarck, but then we decided to make the bigger Yamato and maybe a complete navy fleet.
We build this ship in scale 1:1, so one meter is one block. And because its a fullscale battleship, we can add interiour later.
The outside is nearly completed, but we have to add/ change some minor things and details.
Here are some Yamato datas:
Lenght: 263 m --- 263 blocks
Beam: 38.9 m --- 39 blocks
Draft: 11 m --- 11 blocks
Weapons:
- 9 x 46.0 cm guns (on 3 turrets) [ Biggest guns EVER placed on a ship ]
- 12 × 15.5 cm guns (4×3)
- 12 × 12.7 cm guns (6×2)
- 24 × 25 mm AA guns (8×3)
- 4 × 13.2 mm AA guns
Planes: (yes, this amazing ship has planes on board!...)
- 4 Aichi E13A (surveillance aircraft)
- 3 Mitsubishi F1M
