The year is 2285.

New York. The big apple. The empire state. Hell, if there is one.

The great war had it’s beginning and end in a span of hours, ceased modern history in a day. The sky was fire, the boiling pot of America finally overflowing with atomic flames. And yet, humans are stubborn, determined to avoid extinction through whatever means necessary. That’s where the vaults came in, to hear them tell it. Vast sanctuaries of steel, hewn deep within solid rock. They shielded their occupants from the violent purge of civilization, though no metal tomb could save humans from themselves.

Those that did emerge from the ground, softened by the circumstance of their raising, were not in the New York of the old world. Before them lay the Empire Wastelands, occupied by savage beasts and violent mutants nested within. Rigid as humans may be, they stood within the home of monsters, and the population was savaged to near oblivion.

It is no surprise, then, that those born of the waste’s glow could carve out a domain within this hellish land, if through raw grit and zealous determination. Men with flaying skin, green or blue or red, armored in ragged metal and iron will, fought back. The ghoulish army cut swathes through the beasts, but their numbers were not infinite. Before long, they disappeared within the subways, and made their home in some glowing hell. The Empire had arrived.

But you didn’t ask for a history lesson, you’re wondering why in any right hell someone would want to come here. You manage to brave the horde of beasts, horrid savages,and festering muties that inhabit every nook and cranny, you’d find that the ol’ apple hasn't had many bites taken out of it, and I want me a taste. This place is a gold mine untapped, just waitin' to be cashed in.

If the title did not give it away, this is a Fallout RP server set in the finely rubbled ruins of the big apple, while also encompassing the surrounding terrain that dots the fine once-state of New York. ANW seeks to bring you a quality RP experience with time tested staff and wondrous sights produced by our team of builders. Delve within the remains of the once great city, contest the threats of monstrous fauna, mechanical terrors, errant mutantry, and the greatest danger of the punch, your fellow man. Carve out a dominion of your own out of cracked pavement and grit. Rebuild the old world or start anew. Put your faith behind the causes of well known factions, or seek your own glory in the wild east. Where you go, what you become, and who you get to know along the way, well, that’s up to you.
