Low Resolution

Simple. That's what we strive for.
Low Resolution is the easy server experience. It's not in-your face or full of nasty, complicated items in your hotbar or strange commands. It's intuitive - not only our interface - but our gamemodes too. What we have aimed for with this server is a completely non pay-to-win, friendly environment for a wide demographic of players. Our gamemodes are all both designed and created by us, and are unique in the sense that they're casual - meaning that they can be joined and left at any times, and are always running.

Icarus

Icarus is our first fully-developed game-mode. The backstory is based on the Greek legend of Icarus and his uncle, Daedelus, using wings made from wax in order to escape from Crete. In the tale, Daedelus warns his nephew not to fly too close to the sun, else his wings will melt. In his infinite wisdom, of course, Icarus ends up doing the exact opposite and getting himself killed. In our gamemode, players traverse around a play field of six floating islands surrounding the sun. Instead of melting the players wings, however, upon stepping on sunstone, players are launched in the direction of their cursor. This is called a heli, and is the primary method of transportation around the arena. On top of this, players also have the ability to fly a short distance - achieved by double-jumping, again in the direction they are facing. To make things more interesting, health does not regenerate. Instead, players are granted a splash potion of regeneration for every opponent they kill. Killstreaks are announced in chat, and are rewarded with increasing amounts of gold. Upon death, players are returned to the server spawn point. Re-joining the arena is as easy as returning to the small Icarus island at spawn, or simply executing /icarus.  Icarus is unique in the sense that is the first of our casual games, meaning players can join straight in and leave at any time without waiting in lobbies, as the arena is constantly running. We have extensively tested and refined this game-mode, and had incredibly positive feedback from survey responses - even those on the other side of the globe.
