Starting out as a 2 player server with my friend we quickly got bored because there was something missing. So instead of just continuing to labor we put our heads together and figured out that what was missing was the fun of having other players around to join us in the world of endless possibilities that Minecraft provides. We have since developed into a larger server with a good playerbase ranging from age 5 to age 60 that is on fairly often. Our donators are treated equally along with everyone else and I as the server owner try to be as lenient as possible when people legitimately mess up, there are 15 rules only, but as simple as they are some of them can be easily forgotten. I highly recommend coming in and joining us, there are several play styles available, you can either join and immediately join one of the factions based cities created and run by the players themselves, or you can go out into the wilderness and start your own build and homes, perhaps eventually beginning and creating a faction for yourself. I hold my admins and moderators to a very strict code of honor concerning issues that arise on the server and they all respect that and respect the players themselves. They are always fair as am I and we always look for and welcome all new players. So come on in and have some fun in our player controlled and promoted safe play environment. S'vaelur Lithuen was originally created as just a 2 player server for 2 real life buddies but they soon grew bored and decided to give hosting a public live minecraft server a shot. So far the server has grown at an exponential rate and we look forward to everyone that comes in as they provide a chance to meet new people. We have an active service staff that is constantly working to provide a fun and safe play environment and we value our players opinions when it comes to running the server. S'vaelur Lithuen is the only completely player controlled minecraft RPG/Survival style server in the world of minecraft. Our players make the rules and run the server according to how they believe it should be done and the admins acts only as guides and enforcers of the rules in order to keep a fun and safe play environment for people of all ages. Our three main plugins (the server is run on craftbukkit) are iConomy6, Towny, and Heroes. Our staff works ceaselessly to provide 24/7 support for the players that come on at all times of the day throughout the weeks. We have 3 donator ranks and while donators do not get immunity to the server rules they do get access to otherwise Admin-Only commands on the server as well as the ability to have a epic name for themselves. All players are encouraged to take positions of leadership on the server in order to at least make them feel like they are doing something to maintain the server as what it is, so come on in and check out the one and only completely player controlled server. SERVER RULES
1: No Griefing
2: Respect the Admins(Count through Viscount in game rank)
3: Respect the Moderators(Baron in game rank)
4: Do NOT build single towers or tunnels.
5: Do NOT flatten any areas.
6: Keep any and all feuds private, not public
7: No Hacks, they will result in an instant permaban
8: Report all wrong doings directly on the forums
9: Griefing will result in a permaban on the third offense, second is a 24 hour tempban and first is a warning
10: Respect everyone on the server, at all times. This helps to prevent feuds and keep a fun and safe play environment
11: Donators will not be treated above other players, all players will be treated and dealt with equally. Your perks on the server are your only reward for donating
12: Obsidian/bedrock are forbidden building materials
13: DO NOT ask for moderator, if you want to apply for a staff position then do so on the forums
14: DO NOT ask to have things spawned for you, it is a survival server, not creative
15: Most Importantly, HAVE FUN!
Donator Ranks:
Knight-Captain (10$)
Knight-Lord (20$)
Knight-Marshall (30$ +)
Donators on the server recieve access to a few extra commands than non donators that would otherwise only be available if you were to apply for and recieve a staff position, however donating does not grant you any immunity whatsoever to the server rules, if after donating you break the rules repeatedly you will be stripped of your Donator rank and returned to the regular non donator ranks, no questions asked, until you can prove yourself. All donations are used for the betterment of the server, whether it be in new plugins or just maintaining a better system for the running of the server. Donations are greatly appreciated by the staff as it makes it much easier for us to maintain and keep our plugins up to date so that you can all have access to them as they are and have an easier time building on the server
Ok, now that my rant is done, I shall give you some basic info on the server itself. S'vaelur Lithuen is a largely survival based RPG server run through bukkit for the use of plugins. I and my staff (all positions are full atm) go out of our way to ensure that the game is fun for all of our players, whether they are long or short term members. We will soon be requiring that in order to rank up on the server you must first sign up on the forums with a brief introduction to one of the admins or through an introduction thread so that you can be known by our staff. All donations that are made to the server Paypal account at Draggynfyre@hotmail.com are used to make the server better and develop new plugins and perks for the use of members to make playing a little bit more convenient while simultaneously maintaining the RPG/Survival feel and not making everything too terribly over easy. Obsidian, TNT, and Bedrock are banned building materials unless you are having an administrator help you build something that you want protected from any and all damage(bedrock and TNT are banned period), if this is the case then you may ask a moderator or other staff member (count through viscount on the server) to use obsidian to create a layer of protection for your build that you want protected. It is highly recommended to build within city limits if you want safety for your builds as staff members cannot be expected to traverse all around the world in order to protect everyones really special builds. You DO NOT have to be a moderator or admin to create your own towns in the server, you can create one as soon as you attain the rank of Noble(which is fairly low on the system) all towns are player run and town mayors will be expected to uphold the server rules, as well as any that they implement for their specific town on their own with the aid of their assistants (we use the Towny plugin), All in all S'vaelur Lithuen is a more laid back RPG/Survival server than most you will find and we have yet to have anyone actually complain about us as our staff is kind and friendly and will go out of their way to help you learn the ropes of the server or get settled with your own towns, and it is not unheard of for people to meet new friends that last for awhile through us. Please, come in and take a gander to see what the awesomeness is all about, I guarantee you that you will enjoy your time with us at S'vaelur Lithuen.
