We are a greylisted server, meaning you can come on and look around but you won't have any build rights until you apply for membership and are accepted.

1 - To weed out potential griefers. Most of the time if griefers have to go through whitelisting of some description to get on a server, they won't bother and find one that doesn't.
2- To see how potential members will contribute to the server. If you are whining like a child about the application process, chances are you aren't likely to be a valuable member of the community. It may be a small community, but one none the less, which means you need to prove you can be trusted.
3 - Chances are if you take the time to make a proper application with expanded answers, you show you are willing to put the time into the server itself. Joining the server isn't just about playing, everyone is involved somehow in it's upkeep. Members have made the forum, mods make sure the server is in working order.
Everyone on this server talks to each other outside of the server itself, mainly through Skype. Everyone interacts. It is a community after all. Stay within the rules, and you'll do just fine. Stray out of them, and we won't take it. Zero barrier tolerance I am afraid.
