Hey guys! This is my very first skin! I've attempted skins before, but with little success. My shading still needs a lot of work, but it's a learning process :)

Any amount of constructive criticism or tips is welcome and appreciated!

The shape, I just kinda made up as I went, but I googled some shading stuff for inspiration, there's some  tutorial pictures for how to shade it like that, I thought it was pretty neat, I can send them to you if you'd like!

Nah, I'm fine. When I read on your forum post that you used MinersNeedCoolShoes, and that the rest of the skin isn't shaded, I thought you might've used a base or something.

Oh! I'm sorry! I couldn't find a better Editor yet, I'm using the MCskin3D one now, it's much better. And there is some very subtle shading on the clothes, it was hard to get the exact color I wanted without it going haywire :)

MCSkin3D is the one I use, and it's magnificent. Also, the shading should be a bit brighter, as it's not that great if I need to hurt my eyes trying to find some.

This tutorial by KnobleKnives will help you with colors

The tutorial was really helpful! :) For some reason, whenever you try to adjust brightness on MinersNeedCoolShoes, it slowly changes the hue to red, which made it super hard to shade, but my second skin is already going so much smoother than this, thanks to MCskin3D, and all of this feedback! I appreciate it :)

Cool I use that sometimes. Just a warning though if you decide to enter any comps(you shoould your a great skinner) You are not allowed to use Minersneedcoolshoes coz some idiots try to steal parts sometime D:
I recommend MCskin3D. Keep up the good work xD

Very cute, I love the amount of shading, not too much, and not too little. Keep up the good work ^-^
