"Sir, we've heard from our scouts that the humans plan on pulling a frontal assault on our kingdom in a matter of weeks, near the main gate! It's said that their forces contain "nearly the entirety of their military" and that they hope that this attack will "end this threat for good"! We've got to stop this madness! We've got to do... something... right...?"

  "Black Hawk" Sharptalon, president of the Democratic Republic of Bipedal Aves (more commonly associated with the name "Avifaunia") stroked his feathered-chin with a concerned look cast upon his face. He stared into the eyes of his advisor, Wingel Featherbeak, and spoke in a grave voice, "Tell the men in the militant research laboratory to meet me and the general at the operations room. I want to discuss the option of a turning-point in this war, a... a weapon of some kind, or... mechanism..." The room fell silent as Wingel pondered this request for a moment, and replied promptly. "I will get to that, sir. Thank you." He adjusted his glasses and walked out of the room, leaving a cold silence wafting through the air.

  "Mm, yes, I see where you're getting at, sir. Could I have a moment with my colleagues in order to discuss the possibilities?" "Granted.", he appeased. They each lifted themselves up from their chairs and walked into the hallway, as all fell silent. This lasted for a short while, as General R. Hookbeak, legate of the nation's military, spoke directly to the president. "Do... do you really think this will help us? Shouldn't we be attacking the human civilization while they're off-guard? Stop this problem before they have the chance to stop it for us?"

  Sharptalon turned his head facing the general. "We are a peaceful nation, Nestin. Taking the life of defenseless women and children who have no quarrel with us only stoops us to their level. We only fight to keep the citizens of our kingdom safe, not to harm citizens of theirs. You know that." The general opened his mouth to utter another word, but the men returned to their seats before he could carry on. "We have decided on a final verdict, sir. We have the necessary material, and the necessary workforce in order to get it done even BEFORE the deadline. Should we carry on, or do you need further convincing?" Sharptalon tilted his head downwards, then returned it to it's former posture. "You have permission to begin work on it at the strike of dawn, doctor. I expect great things."

  For six days, scientists, engineers and volunteers from the city worked non-stop. They took shifts, resting on pallets and sleeping bags placed on the ground, while they were brought food and water from the outside. It was a long and surely exhausting process, even leading to some men and women returning home to their wives, husbands, and children, but it was a successful one at that.

  And so with this in mind, by the end of the sixth day of construction, a public rally was proposed, so that hope could finally be restored to the distressed and worried inhabitants of the nation. They called this "war machine" the Ornidroid.
