After losing the one person who could convince him to finally leave the TARDIS and help people again, the Captain goes into hiding for some time. During this time, he begins to go mad, thinking of ways he could possibly bring back his friend. His biggest idea yet: re-create the power of Regeneration! To do this, he cuts off his own hand and begins experimenting on it, hoping to find the secret to Regeneration.
