When Alante was around five years old her village was burnt to the ground and she was kidnapped by a man known as Tobin Ravenesh. She was thrown onto a galleon and taken half way around the world to the golden continent. On the golden continent Alante was trained as a child soldier to fight in the golden continents wars. As Alante grew up she became very cunning and adept at fighting this meant that she survived whatever the golden continent threw at her. Eventually Alante meets Prince Cassian the heir to the throne of the golden continent the pair form an immediate bond and king Ageon see's the positive impact Alante has on Cassian's life and employs her as Cassian's bodyguard much to his dismay as the thought of the girl he cares so deeply for getting hurt protecting him is unbearable. Both Cassian and Alante harbour romantic feelings for one another and they are both very open about this with each other but Alante refuses to act on her feelings because she fears Cassian will one day have to marry a foreign princess to forge an alliance for the golden continent.

Alante Resents having her childhood snatched away from her but she knows she can't change the past only the future and because of this she makes it a point of principle to live in the moment. Alante and Cassian will eventually be called upon by Captain Pyrros of the Liberos army to rescue princess Cleophee of Piscellum.
