It has been 5 years since my last skin, so I am a little rusty.
I rediscovered the new PMCSKIN3D and really enjoyed the new features.

I tried to go with a more cartoon style of shading for this one, using a lot of the layering to get those extra details in.
I would like to do more cartoon style super heroes next, since I really enjoyed making this one.
Going to try to get a skin done once a month if I can , depending on my busy schedule.
Enjoy!

Instantly incredibly nostalgic, completely captured the vibe of your impressive run of skins you made in this style years ago. Feels so rare to see someone come back and still invoking the feeling that they could masterfully and immediately return to the top of their game, but I suppose you're just forever incredibly impressive in your works. What else is there even to say but marvel at how you've retained such a high level despite a 5 year break.

I think my single favourite part is how distinctly this skin feels like a skin only you would and could make. The armour layering details, particularly the logo had me go "god damn, that's clever".

Whenever I look at skins made years ago, even with nostalgia in mind I also always realize just how poorly some of the skins from back then held up. My own are a prime example, where looking back really puts into perspective that while I thought I had something good back then, it just wasn't the case. Your skins are one of the very few exceptions: The design-work, the colouring, the feelings they invoke - so much just falls into place. Your dragon designs in a pre 1.8 era are perhaps still some of the best if not the best to this very day design-wise. I am honestly not sure anyone could replicate that level of pre 1.8 design to this very day.

And honestly, it pains me to say I failed to fully appreciate this when I was starting out and unfortunately for a while thereafter. I distinctly remember loathing some of your colour choices, when they in fact were crucial in capturing the skin's mood, and I can honestly say at this time I was jealous at how far ahead your design work was. Luckily for me, that is not the case anymore, as now I can just enjoy and marvel at your talent and look back at all of your amazing work and be the fan I always should have been and I sincerely cannot fathom why I was not. I can only say I am sorry for how I must've been back then.

When we asked you to make a palette for SSPBL, we all looked back to season 7 of the original PBL, which incidentally was my first season ever. I always remembered old PBL years ago as having rugged palettes, tough to use with jarring colour choices; what I was met with was not that. The palettes you had made back then still inspired us to this very day and honestly, I don't think enough credit was given to you at the time. Every single week that season, you delivered a palette that had a lot of depth behind it, and only when we played around with it after years of improvement and trying to run PBL on our own, we realized just how special your palette-work that season was. Your palette upon returning is equally impressive and really highlights why you making the finals palettes was always a no-brainer for us.

I am sorry for rambling on, I feel like I always missed this opportunity in the long run of "half-activity" you had. I am so grateful that you're back, even if it might just be for this one skin. Thanks for inspiring a whole generation of skin-makers Kefka, your name was not forgotten by any of us that grew up with your skins in our feeds. In the same vein as other greats such as Leo, Knoble etc. you shaped so much of this community that I've come to be evermore appreciative of, an appreciation that has further shown me just how great you were and clearly still are. Thank you for making skins Kefka, it's a pleasure to see your creations at any time!

I really appreciate all the great stuff you discussed here. It was interesting hearing what your perspective was back then in your early days of skinning and how that perspective has now changed. Its fascinating how we can grow as artists and see other art in a different perspective than we did before. It seems like it's only when an artist can get to a high enough level that they can truly appreciate the other art around them and really understand what it takes to create that art.

It is funny that after I read what you said about how distinctly this skin feels like a skin only I could make, I was checking out the list of trending skins and noticed how all the other skins look very similar, while my skin looked completely different from the rest. I was pretty surprised by that.

I think I create skins different than most because I do all of the skinning in the 3D viewer without ever using the 2D viewer. I am always just focused on my skin designing because that is what I enjoy the most. I have a lot of fun trying to figure out how to get more detail into something with such a small amount of pixels. On the other hand, colors don't always come naturally to me and it is the thing that has always been the hardest for me to get right. Skinners like you gave me a lot of inspiration to improve on my colors over the last years because I saw how well those colors could take a skin to the next level.

I have always been a fan of your work, specifically with your colors. I am really amazed how long you have been able to do it for, while still continuously improving. It takes a lot of dedication to go as long as you have and I think it really shows how much you enjoy your work.
