This is Calypso
She is the daughter of the Tital Atlas, she helped her father fight against the gods in a war.
When the gods won they punished her for helping her father by sending her to Ogygia (o-gee-gee-ah),
her island/prison/home. She lived there for the rest of her life.
The gods would occasionally send a Hero to her to be her friend for a little while.
Unfortunatly that was part of her curse, they would always send someone who could never stay,
and when the Hero left they he would also leave poor Calypso heartbroken.
Calypso, that was your life!
