Ciel, unlike some other anime characters, has an easy name to convert to a female name. Examples: Cielia or Cecelia. For Edward Elric, my brother said Edna, but that just makes me think of Edna from The Incredibles. Edwina doesn't sound like a name, so I went with Elain. >.o
