Window

Window, also referred to as its filename Sally, is a minor entity in DOORS, residing in the Hotel and the Lobby.

Appearance

Window takes an appearance of photonic matter manifesting as a smiling face with two eyes and two rows of teeth.

Behavior

Window has a random chance to appear staring at a window through the glass outside of any small to medium-sized window. It will then disappear after the next lightning strike. Window cannot harm the player in any way or produce sounds and has no overall effect on actual gameplay.

In the Lobby, Window can be found staring through a window near the front doors; it will not disappear from this area.

Trivia

• Window is a 3D model instead of a decal.
• RediblesQW, a developer, has stated that Window's filename is 'Sally'. ^[1]
  • However, this is never referenced in-game and is thought to be a joke by the developers.
  • Wowzers has also stated that its actual name is 'Sally'.^[2]
    • However, Wowzers previously stated that that is simply the name it's referred to.^[3]
• Window's official name is unknown and is instead nicknamed by the community due to its spawn location.
  • This makes Window one of the four entities to not have an official name, the others being Shadow, Guiding Light, and Curious Light.
  • Redibles has stated that Window will likely never be given an official name due to its insignificance. ^[4]
• Window is one of four entities that can be found inside the Lobby.
  • The other three being Seek (in the form of its eyes), Timothy, and Screech (through its plushie form).
• It was confirmed by Ghostly_Wowzers that Window will never get any achievement in-game since it's just an easter egg.^[5]
• While it was thought that Window was a reference to the Backrooms' Smiler Entity, co-developer RediblesQW confirmed that it was just a coincidence.
• Redibles has implied the existence of a UGC Window-themed backpack. ^[6]
• It is possible that Window will have a mechanic in game, as stated by Wowzers.^[7]
  • However, Wowzers previously stated that Window will remain an easter egg for the time being.^[8]

• Window disappears after a random amount of time estimated to be about 1-6 seconds.
• Window seems to spawn immediately after it's triggered to spawn, since there is no footage of it delaying to spawn.
  • This may be because it has one of the least detailed 3D models in the game, so it's rendered very fast.
