We're going to Hungary from Slovakia. The beauty of the Schengen visa is that you can pass from one country to another as if you were passing from one neighborhood to another. And this church, which we're standing in front of, was the country's largest, and Europe's third largest church. When the Ottoman took this place in the 1500's, it turned this Basilica into a mosque. Later, it was converted back into the church by the Christians.

We are heading towards that direction because Estergon Castle is the main concern of us. There's a big garden around it. I'm starting to walk towards the wooden door of the castle. I'm going in through the large door. But there is no old castle structure that we are used to from the films of yeşilçam. It's like everything just happened. As you pass through the castle Gate, a large courtyard greeted us with lush grass. There's an old ball and a stove in the yard for cooking. It's not like it's a castle, it's like it's a garden of a boutique hotel.

I have to admit I paused for a moment. It saddened me to see the castle of esttergon, where I dream of it, how many martyrs we have given, the voices of the sword echoing on the walls, the Glorious flag fluctuating, and a special place in our glorious history. But still, it's good to be here, breathe the air out of this place. After a moment of hesitation, I'm walking around. After the front yard, we go around the back. The back part I call the Danube river. I mean, right in front of us, Slovakia... ... when I look at it from there, a Turkish in the ' 60s, wandering around with a backpack like me, is approaching me. Let's go back to the castle... ... there are actually two different routes to navigate inside the castle. One with a walk ticket, one with a guide ticket. With a walk ticket you can only enter the main open area, a cellar with ruins and a gun Hall. Guided tour you can also visit other places in the castle. The fees are a little different. The choice is yours, of course.

If you have time, there is also a place where you can have coffee at the top of the Basilica. From here, you can see the Danube, Estergon and Slovakia quite a bit higher. After visiting the castle area, we didn't want to leave Estergon immediately. Opposite to the direction where the vehicles were parked, we descended from a small, beautiful path to the center of the scene. The end of this path has led us to a street with little coloured houses.

But you know what they say, “good times are quick."That's what happened to us. Before we set off for Budapest, we wanted to go back to Slovakia and take a picture of Estergon Castle on the opposite shore. The castle looked more beautiful from a distance. After praying for our martyrs who died in this land, we were on our way to Budapest. Sometimes you'll find your way, and sometimes what goes around comes around you on the road. I guess they were both at the same time.

I was like leaving a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. My heart is on this land, my body is on the road again... ... step by step to the new places I have gone away from Estergon…
