The person beneath this custom is unknown, they only were identified by the personality they wear, Fluffy.

Fluffy was a mascot for a child's carnival, every Friday night the Carnie lights would illuminate the night sky where Fluffy would make their public announcement to the eager crowd to enter, even perform a little magic for the audience.

The mascot loved their job, they enjoyed entertaining guests, forming smiles, and making memories. Fluffy always came to work early, and always left late, even helped with opening and shutting down the carnival for the week.

But, like any story from the CrypticMorbid, this one ends in a tragedy.
Rival Carnies of another carnival we're jealous of the fame and awe Fluffy grew from the audience and how successful their carnival came to be. Their success left the rival carnival in poverty and little business, and with desperation they sought out Fluffy to strike a deal.

The deal was, Fluffy works for them and in return they receive a higher percent of the profits than what they gained from the home carnival. But it was never about the money for Fluffy, they did it because they enjoyed what they did, nothing more. So the deal was declined.

Outraged, the rival Carnies swore Fluffy would regret their decision to disrespect them after their good show of faith.

Knowing Fluffy stayed over night to help close up the carnival, the rivals showed up with baseball bats, knives, hatchets, chains, and high powered torches. They sought out Fluffy, and held him down to meet the bludgeoning force of bats and chains, after beating them to near fatigue, they were chained up to the carnival ferris wheel.

Fluffy was broken and tired, forced to watch as the rival Carnies hurt and murdered the mascots friends. After there was no one left alive, they torched every thing that belonged to the carnival, along with Fluffy that was chained to the large ride.

After months have passed with law enforcement left with a cold case of arson and murder, the rival carnival was booming in business again thanks to there only being one amusement attraction. They even came up with their own mascot, Fuzzy the bear.

After one of their shows ended and the Carnies greedily counted their earnings, all the lights in their carnival shut off. A mysterious fog rolled in, a hair raising cold settled in the air, and in the darkness a silhouette of a bunny stood in the darkness. A single piercing red emitting from the head.

Mortified by the sight, the Carnies could only scream, before they were torn limb from limb...
