Frankie was once a small time crook back in the 40's who worked with the Mafia on some minor crimes but after being caught by the FBI and facing 10 years in prison Frankie turned snitch and was willing to testify against some of the more senior Mafia mob bosses, including the Don's son and there was no way that they were going to let that go unaddressed. Kidnapped from witness protection after paying off a crooked FBI agent the Mafia drove Frankie down to the docks and fitted him with a pair of "concrete shoes" sailed him out to the middle of the ocean and ditched the still alive Frankie over the edge, sinking down in the depths of the blackness and his death.

Now Frankie sleeps with the fishes, cover in barnacles, anemones and seaweed and is the home of a wide range of ocean wildlife. Frankie the Snitch's rotting corpse has become a reef teeming with life, a mix of horror and beauty.
