A flesh-eating virus was started at the Chicago, Furry Convention and the city was heavily quarantined many governmental organizations came to Chicago to help the civilians and to prevent the spread of the virus. A reporter name Ulrich was chosen to record any activities on the hotspot accompanied by four other personnel, all of them entered the city to their surprise It was filled with many gelatinous substances and trash, The city was like a ghost town.

His team move deeper into the city and found a single person standing in the middle of the road, one of his teammates shouted “Hey you shouldn’t be here” The person gave them no response, and one of his combat personnel started to walk slowly and pointing his gun on the person as he kept closer the person has no response, the combat personnel tap the person shoulder and said, “Are you alright, Sir?” The person moans heavily it sounded like he is coughing mixed with drowning. The person attacked the combat personnel right into his face and two other personnel open fire on that thing, the bullet did nothing to the person and he walked towards them, one of the combat personnel shouted “Fall back!” as they retreat to a nearby building the infected started appearing through the alleyways, as they hide and stay silent the infected entered the house and walk into the corridor finding the teammates. As the day rises. It all fell silent.

The teammates notice what happen to one of his soldier as they saw him walking dripping with blue substances on his mouth and his wounds. One of his teammates said, “That poor soldier, I can’t believe they took him away.” As they move even deeper into the city they receive a call on the radio saying that the camp has been attacked by the infected and they are requesting backup, His team was hopeless because they came far from the camp only to hear that the camp has been attacked and the infected has been escaped the city. One of his team comfort him and said “Okay after we finish this mission we will escape this city.” They walked a mile to the city getting near to the hotspot. They were stopped and noticed that the road has been blocked off, they decided to take the downtown area with extra precaution, as they move slowly to the area a sound of dripping slime was heard in many places, and they are in the middle of a horde. One of his teammates tripped and a loud sound echoed in the alley the Infected was seen to be mutated due to the corpse decomposing, and one of his teammates shouted “Run!” as they run one of the personnel got stuck and decided to sacrifice his life for them, he pulled the pin of the grenade and said “I am going home Margaret” and the explosion went off sealing the alley with rubles.

As dust flew away they fell silent because of his bravery to save his team, after that they continue, they got to the hotspot and resupplied on the nearest store for food and water. The two journalists write down much important information about the Infected and how they mutated. As night came they will be their final day to live one of the journalists snuck through the camp and entered the hotspot, one of his teammates notice that someone is missing, they geared up and search for the other journalist as they entered the hotspot they notice that the Infected has no eyes and on his head, a new head has grown with a functional eye to see, an ear to hear and a snout to smell, he takes the picture of it and the mutated victim notices the click sound of the camera and scream as his vocal cords break, the combat personnel shoot the thing to slow him down and said “One of your friends is already dead, we must go!” they run as fast as they can making obstacle to slow the mutant down but it only phases through the obstacles, the personnel got sprained so badly he is unable to walk, said “Go on without me, just go” and fired all of his rounds and leave one for him because he wanted to end is life.

The last person was able to escape the hotspot and the flashlight has died out, so he makes a torch to see the way and he notice that the mutant was scared of the fire and was able to walk safely away from the hotspot, In only a few matters of time he notices that the torch is dying out and the only way out was filled with mutant, he knows what will be going to happen to him as he saw all of his team ended their lives in a different way. He kept every record on a box that spelled “Look in here” and said the last record of him on his mission, As the torch slowly dies out what only remained of him is a scream echoing through the streets of the city.
