I never believed them, now as the great fire in the sky burns my soul, I realize how childish I was to look danger in the face. The
flames of light whiten my skin and make it crack and soften under its intensity. My eyes, I gouge with my fingers, for the pain of
blinding sunlight is worse than even death itself. I cannot find the way back and I lie here writhing, screaming in anguish. My
body is bleached and burned by it. What have I done? Under the earth, where my people thrive, I was safe. I had not a worry, but oh was I such a foolish child to come into the light.
