So this is my entry for the skin comp.
I have predicted THREE questions that you are probably going to ask me about this skin.
Q1:
You: What's that brown thingy on the legs?
Me: The "brown thingy" is a pair of shorts, and underneath them are tights.

Q2:
You: What's with her eyes?
Me: Her eyes are different colours because cacti come in many different shades of green, and they can sometimes even be brown! (So that's why I felt compelled to put the shorts there....)

Q3:
You: Why is there so many black lines and stuffs?
Me: The "black lines" are the spikes on the cactus. I modelled it partly off the cactus texture for minecraft.

Q4:
You: Where's her hair?
Me: Since I wanted both her hair and her clothes to be green, I had to come up with a solution for the hair. So, it's at the back of the head, tied up.

Q5:
You: What's with her shirt?
Me: It's a poncho. DEAL WITH IT!

Q6:
You: Why are there seven questions? I thought there were only going to be three?
Me: Oh.

So, now onto how she survives in the desert.
First of all, this is in a different planet, but it has humans. Cacti are vampiressssssss.
Me: Wait what?
SHUT UP ME LEMME GET ON WITH THE STORY!
Me: Mmkay.. Don't be complatin' on yoself

So this girl, let's call her Cassie, she got bitten by a cacti vampire. Since cacti don't need water to live, she can survive in the desert, even though she's half human. Cacti are adjusted to living in the ever changing temperatures of the desert - sweltering and sweaty in the day, and shivering and sharp in the night - so the desert is pretty much her home.

I'll probably write a story on Cassie later in a blog post.
