The best bounty hunter in the years leading up to the Clone Wars, Jango Fett was an orphan raised by a clan of Mandalorians, the most skilled warriors in the galaxy. He piloted a deadly Firespray Class-1 Patrol Ship (the last one in existence) which he dubbed the Slave 1.

He was chosen by Count Dooku to be the template for an army of clone troopers, and provided the DNA necessary to clone millions of identical soldiers.

He was eventually slain during the battle of Geonosis by Mace Windu. He was succeeded by his son Boba, a completely unaltered clone of himself.
