Ahh, Jim... Oh, how I remember him. An old friend of mine, back in school. One of the popular kids, a "jock", by those American high school film's standards. His arm was torn off in an accident when he was 16, I think. He tried every conventional form of treatment, but it was hopeless. Poor Jim was desperate to get better, and being the bold kid he was, he underwent a high risk operation to replace his arm with a bionic version. It worked, and it boosted the strength of his arm at least tenfold. In fact, he enjoyed the power so much he had his other arm replaced, too. It evolved from there, Jim becoming less human every time he went under the knife. He's lost so much flesh in favour of metal, he's more robot than human. Let's just hope this doesn't begin to affect his mind too...
