I am the one that is known as Ka-Ek! I am the rightful heir
of the kingdom of Trankur, and I must seek out the writings of Ling to prove my true inheritance. My search has even taken me beyond the great kingdom of Kel'Mac, through the forests of Morrge; a dark, foreboding place where daylight has no dominion. Across the fields of Fellion--a bleak and terrible place inhabited only by the bush known as 'Rissit', which is much prized for its tough, yet pliable wood used mainly in weaving.
Thense I came to the twinkling sea of Crowe and there, along its shoreline, amid its many caves, I came across the writings of Ling and I snatched them up, but the serpents that guard them awoke! They tried to get them back! They pulled, I pulled--it was a bit of a struggle, obviously--then I said, "Gimme the writings, yah little serpent bastards!" and I ran, like a demon, across the beach; but my espadrilles were all ripped to shit, toes all bleedin'--anyways, the serpents came after me and the lead one reared up on his haunches . . .
Except, serpents really haven't got haunches, so his mates sorta held him up with a stick saying, "Go on Dave! Go on! Nab the bastard!" The stick slipped, he sorta fell back, and all the other serpents laughed, "Dave's fallen over! Dave's fallen over!"
Hastily, I fashioned a coracle out of some seaweed and a bit of risset that I had, luckily, and a spoon. I rowed like a demon across the sea, but the serpents called forth a great storm! The rain came down, and the writings, only
cheap ink--you couldn't read it, it all ran! All that way, what was the point?! D8
