About This Skin:
This is me in awesome space marine armor like in Aliens, and blue jeans. I'm wearing my Harry Potter-esq round glasses. I'm armed with my kick-boxing gloves in preparation for some intense wood-punching!

About Me and Skinning:
I'm a HUGE fan of Aliens, Terminator, Star Wars, and many other such Sci-fi films (as one can see from my profile here on PMC). Near the end of last summer, I began thinking "Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a Private Hudson skin? " (seeing as he is my favorite character). I noticed there weren't any, so I made one. That was the start of my skinning career.

I've had success and some slight failures in skinning, and learn from every post.

Success in my mind is a skin that people not only view, but enjoy. Success to me is having my older brother scanning my profile over my shoulder and saying "You made all these? That's a really good Giles skin! Your pretty good at that [making Minecraft skins]." Success is knowing you made a piece of art and not some random crap that no one wants to wear. Success for me as a Geek means that I have accurately portrayed a character with the best of my abilities.

Failure is knowing that even the slightest detail is off by too much. Failure is throwing something together hastily and not giving a 110%. Failure is not defined as oh so few views, but in knowing that I did not do my best. Failure is a skin that no one enjoys.

My Opinion About PMC:
This site is awesome. The community rocks, thrives off the epic vibes of a great game, and makes it's members feel welcomed. I happen to be very socialy awkward but feel extremely (and amazingly) comfortable in this community. I have said it many times before: You guys are AWESOME!!!:)

But there is always room for constructive criticism. The site does have the occasional annoyance of trolls, copy cats, and cliches. Sometimes people take a skin and do it over and over (like Teens/Hoodies/Beats) and it gets old. The other occasional problem is people getting on the reel without real talent. I also think that people should focus a little less on "getting noticed" and more on making good quality work as well as creative and unique creations. Along with this I feel there should be a better system to allow more skiners, pixel artists, and map makers to be noticed. Trolls and copycats are delt with appropriately, so everything else is good.

My Proposals to Make Our Community a Better Place:
There are plenty of things that PMC is already doing to help make the community a place that people want to hang out. But as its citizens, we can do more to help. For instance, doing more activities similar to this one to promote lesser known members all while encouraging creativity, uniqueness, and talent (so not just hoodies).

Members themselves can do things, too. I feel that everyone should take the initiative to search skins and projects before beginning one of their own. This helps keep from cluttering the site with overly done skins and provides the member with feelings of accomplishment and achievement in doing something different from everyone else. Also, take time to read other people's blogs. These can help members establish what other members like and don't like (which in the end helps both you and the community).

But this is all just me
