yep. it’s the Guy with the funny name! yay
”He was about twenty, or about thirty. On Watch reports across the continent he was anywhere between, oh, about six feet two inches and five feet nine inches tall, hair all shades from mid-brown to blond, and his lack of distinguishing features included his entire face." - Going Postal
Lipwig (pronounced Lipvig) is a character from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series and is the main character of the books Going Postal (no.33), Making Money (no.36), and Raising Steam (no.40). he’s a [FORMER, to be very clear] conman who went under the name Albert Spangler, and was sentenced to be hanged due to the fact he managed to steal around $150,000 during his scamming career because no one remembered what the hell he looked like. turns out there are some pros to looking like every stock image white guy ever lol
however the Patrician of Ankh-Morpork, Vetinari, decided that he wanted to have a bit of fun the day of his hanging and proceeded to give him the offer of being handed the position of Postmaster General and to rebuild the rundown and dilapidated postal service, or to die. Moist took the kinder option.
I thought I’d make a skin of him in his Postmaster General outfit, which is very very bright and shiny and comes with a cool winged hat plus a pair of shoes which also have wings on them :) a lot of artists tend to draw this guy with his eyes hidden under his hat and that’s actually a cool idea tbh. kinda emphasises the whole ‘looks like everyone ever and is only remembered for the flamboyant clothing’ thing haha
also here’s the theme for the Going Postal TV movie just because I really love how energetic and bouncy it is. it represents the pure chaos of the book very well :P
