Level 16 : Journeyman Miner

The Story To tell his story, we must start from the beginning. 'Mr.Grin' was born to a Mr. and Mrs. Doe, and was named after his father, John Doe (making him John Doe Jr.). He grew up on the closer side of poor in the countryside of Minecraftia, but lived happily raising animals and farming wheat. He would be so until a great drought affected the land, causing him to search for alternative means to find golf ingots to pay for his family's expenses. His troubles were solved when he was offered a large sum of gold ingots if he signed a contract saying he would partake in a small, 'risk-free' experiment. Now most would question this, but the drought had driven John Jr. to desperation, having him sign the contract that would take away his life. This experiment was held by the Redstone Scientists of Minecraftia, who were curious about the effects of implanting a redstone infused diamond with a human test subject. When John, now called 'X', arrived at the test site after being abducted in a minecart,(where a pumpkin placed over his head to prevent him knowing where he was). What he arrived to was the sound of moaning. Painful, agonizing moaning that went on seemingly forever. There were 23 failures before X, and John would have to spend the next 2 months knowing that his chances to come out of this endeavor alive was slim to none. X would be the first success, but would suffer from what the scientists referred to as Redstone Affliction. Although he wasn't the only successful subject, both subject 'Y' and subject 'Z' came out successful, he was the only one forced to bear the Redstone Affliction, which rotted away at his thoughts, driving him mad. And while all three subjects gained an unimaginably high endurance and a better-than-diamond durability, as well as the removal of the need to eat food, they each received separate powers. 'Z' gained the ability of flight due to his ability to control Redstone Electro-negativity in such a way he could repel himself from anything, including the air. 'Y' gained the ability to activate (or deactivate) redstone wiring, switches, or anything like that if he so much as looked at it. But 'X' gained the ability to detonate Metals and Ores in a blaze of Redstone dust. The size of the explosion varied, where as simply just redstone dust or ore created a minor explosion, something like a diamond block detonation could level a town. The Testificates soon learned to fear this masked man, also called 'Mr.Grin' due to his mask that resembles a grinning face. Mr. Grin walks the face of Minecraftia, bringing destruction to all that walks in his path.
The Summary?

Mr. Grin is not technically evil, just one who wrecks havoc
Once a simple man, this great power and the curse he bears were forced upon him
Testificates don't like him so much... Neither do redstone engineers
His powers are near invulnerability, the ability to endure things (like ya know, wandering the world eternally), absorb energy from his surroundings and add it to his life force, and create explosions from the ores and blocks the people of Minecraftia value most.
