I wanted to take a different approach to my entry this month by prioritizing composition. I'll admit I was originally not in favor of this contest theme, but despite that I think I managed to make an entry that I am happy with. I will detail more about the process in making this skin below. Other than that, I hope you enjoy Pearls.

Before I begin I would like to credit this skin for inspiring me to take a crack at an octopus. I have seen many failed attempts, but I think I managed to successfully expand the idea into one of my own.

Now I will explain the pearls. You might be thinking, Fishkiss, pearls do not glow! Well you are right, except for this pearl. I think you will be fascinated by its uniqueness like I was. I decided to incorporate my fascination with it into my art. While I was not completely realistic to its properties, it inspired me to play with the idea of glowing pearls. Even so, I think it could be interpreted as angler fish, jellyfish, plankton, etc. Letting the glowing pixels be interpretive was by design. The rest of the skin is fairly straightforward in its aquatic themes.
