A dirty Lab Coat flutters in the breeze. Alone. Dirty. Devoid of life. Yet he remains. A lone soul to trek the unending void of dirt and dust. Crunching bones underfoot of the long dead masses of the ruined city the professor calls home. The apocalypse has passed him by, shielded him from judgement, yet he now endures a fate worse than death, trapped forever under the sprawling ruins of dying skyscrapers. But he pushes on, strong, determined, stubborn. He will not quit till every inch of the rock underfoot has been searched out, combed far and wide like the light of the sun wishing to boil away the frost of lifelessness. If he be the last, then death has not won yet.
