Salamander Man is one of the many lycra that live in Filthy Frank's apartment. It's gender is unknown, although it takes a male body structure. It is capable of a bit of human speech, but it commonly says "nyesss" or in some occasions, "no". It also frequently rubs it's nipples in order to channel energy to play it's ButtFlute.

Salamander Man was once taken captive by the dark lord Chin-Chin, a punishment for Frank due to not sacrificing his daily chromosomes. After Frank failed to give Chin-Chin his own sacrifice, Chin-Chin asked what was so special about Salamander Man. Frank replied that it was his ButtFlute that made him very unique, unlike the other lycra. Chin-Chin then released Salamander Man, and the latter demonstrated his skills by playing the Legend of Zelda theme song with his ButtFlute. Surprised by the lycra's talent, Chin-Chin released Salamander Man and it and Frank lived happily ever after.
