ST33F ("Es-Tee-Tree-Tree-Ef") was blown up in a Creeper explosion. Left with a 5th of a heart, he didn't have enough strength to walk away again and heal, but he was still alive. As he couldn't be helped, they took him to a laboratory, where he was "healed" using machinery, similar to a robot pirate who once came to the lab.
