They're in the spotlight, they're in parts and service, in your halls, your bedroom, your office......and they're even in your shadows.....
Let's take a deeper delve into these shadows....and see what's inside...
I see....two ears...long ears! Some scary glowing teeth and eyes!
Oh no! It's-

Shadow Bonnie emerges from the darkness!
(What in the smash bros reveal is this dialog?)
Because shadow Bonnie is more of an illusion in the fnaf universe, it explains the illogical proportions of the limbs on their arms and legs! They disconnect from eachother, showing that their more than an animatronic....they're a mind warped hallucination!
For the face, I took inspiration from the fnaf 3 shadow Bonnie minigame sprites! The teeth shine and stand out, creating an unnerving expression of hidden horrors! Fitting for a Halloween release don't you think?!
Their outfit and design are similar to that of spring Bonnie's design, sharing the same stripes on the sleeves and torso. However, the bowtie is more traditional than that of a flower and two green ribbons. It's part of an old and creepy aesthetic...think about it like the creepy look and unsettling vibe of an old wooden puppet doll....yea, something like that.
Out of all the Bonnie models I've made, none of them(other than Vanny) have bunny like whiskers on their cheeks, but shadow Bonnie does! The ears were the most interesting part to design for me, because of how little creative restraint I on a black and white silhouette of toy Bonnie. I was able to get very creative on body shapes and choices that would make sense for them, because they are nothing but a mere shadow.....a mere shadow that could crash your game.

(Many years ago, on my way to school one morning, I caught shadow Bonnie in my office on the bus, and it was exciting! Just thought I'd share a memory!)
Not only could I get creative with the shapes, but also the shading colors I would use to fit the dark tones of a shadow! I used some de saturated purples and grays, because they matched the colors of the minigame sprites, using a very dark purple instead of black. The eyes were experimental at first, but then I found a cool way to make them swirl and gape with dilated pupils! Green was just an optional color, as it felt complimentary to the purple and black color scheme!
Messing with colors is fun!

Sometimes I read my own paragraphs and think they look like a bunch of blabbering garbage and nonsense that not many people care to read. But I describe them anyway because I love what I create, and I wonder if people really do want to know about my thoughts and creative process! It helps me get things out of my system and feel like an artist genius, even if for a small moment. It feels good to talk about this stuff, in fact its almost therapeutic to me.
