Story:
I was a thief, a good one actually. I was considered the best throughout the land. The king, Stephen I was horrible. He plunged everyone to chaos. Normandy and England were at civil war and the king of England raised taxes and took stuff away from the citizens in his kingdom. I was forced to live a life of thievery and beg. Except he took everything away so I plan to take it back.
In the middle of the night I went to the castle and broke security and found his room. Except 2 guards were right in front of the door. There was no other way in so I distracted the guards ran in, got the crown and jumped off the window. It must have been 50 metres high but with my quick wits and planning I knew there was a lake right below. So I felt the wind rushing against my face and created a huge splash once I landed in the lake. Oh god it hurts, but I have to keep moving otherwise the guards would find me with the good. I walked along all torn up and in agonising pain and went to the woods to stay for 2 weeks.
2 weeks later I went back to the kingdom and resalised the search party is beginning to cool down. I went back to my house with my wife and child and told them what happened they looked at me at horror but it had to be done. Surviving was difficult but I told them we should leave the kingdom.
13 years later we went back to gladly have a new king, Henry II, and surprisingly found the crown back to the king. Now I won't have to live a life with guilt.
