This is the skin version of Toa Tahu from the 1st generation of LEGO BIONICLE.

yeah adaptive armor as adaptive implies the armor adapts to its surroundings caus really imagine kopaka on a flame infested island his armor would adapt to its suroundngs sooo thats all. i stand by idar on this
