nice skin.

Did you know that vikings never had horns on their helmets? if they did, a sowrd or an axe would catch on the horn, causing the helmet to fall off, and bye-bye viking! The only times they would ever have them(very very rare occasion), would be for decorative use.

As a fan of History , maybe this was one of the first things I learnt about viking equipment. But here is more important to impress people with something the want and like, something they know very wrongly but the roots are so deep that they probably won't believe that viking helmets were actually like the many other nation's helmets during that time... Just trying to satisfy the needs of the average user.... ;)

Viking helms were had some kind of a shield for the eyes and the other is just a simple helm. Viking helms didn't have horns but Teutonic order's knights had. Their helmets were made with big horns or had all kind of a decoration on them like fists and other things with the simple goal to make Teuton's enemies fear them. But I can't tell if these decorated helms were that efficent in close battle... :D
