Laura Kinney, aka X-23, is the adleged female clone of James Howlett, aka the Wolverine, though she is declared to be the biological daughter of Logan himself. She was loved by her mother at the Facility, but her superiors mistreated and abused her as if she was their property. Created from Wolverine's damaged reproductive material with only the x-chromastones salvagable, she was created to be the perfect assassin with no feelings, though this was later proven false. Her creation was an attempt to recreate the original Weapon X program. The Facility sent her to assassinate people ever since her childhood. The Facility's mistreatment of Laura had also caused her to accidently kill her best friend, then later on her mother when her mom declared how X-23 was treated was inhumane, and her mother wanted to shut down the Facility. Laura ran and ended up meeting her "father" and the rest of the X-men. Her meeting of the X-men had touched her, and cried for their help to move on with life, so she doesn't have to be forced to kill anymore. She became an X-man, with Logan being a father to her (He probably is her flesh and blood.), and has been a major key player in the X-men. When she recently learned of her father's death, she was davestated from the news. She recently became part of the Wolverines with Daken, the newly reformed Sabertooth, Lady Deathstrike, and Mystique. She proved she is the superior sucessor to Logan's name and now, after the Secret Wars of 2015, Laura Kinney shall become known as... the Wolverine!!!! Best there is at what she does!
