Currently, They are not working, so the only way of actually seeing them is through commands.

Gold Axolotl - /give @s axolotl_bucket{tag:{Variant:2}}
Cyan Axolotl - /give @s axolotl_bucket{tag:{Variant:3}}

I fixed the issue! So for the line of the .properties files that says nbt.tag.Variant=..." you need to remove the ".tag" part, it should just say "nbt.Variant=..."
