Really nice work here, impressive that you extracted the original 16x water/lava textures from the game's code. I've noticed this too and it's incredibly annoying. I wanted to do something similar with my "Better Default" pack (which currently reverts some textures back a few updates pre-beta 1.7.3, adds in the beta 1.6.6 bearded Steve skin, makes clouds slightly more transparent and a few other minor changes.) Could I include the fixed animations from your pack in an update? If not, it's cool I might just directly link this pack and get people to merge the files as a suggestion to fix these annoying issues. If you do allow it I'll of course give full credit/link this pack as a more "true" alternative if people would prefer to have a fully faithful b1.7.3 look.
