I do love the idea and textures :)
what do you mean by the "actual block"?
When i joined my world the leaves on the trees have flowers like yours but instead of it just having flowers with leaves, the block is a solid yellowish colour with flowers but no leaves
I would like to send a picture of what it looks like but I don't know how to send a photo on here
This texture pack uses an overlay method to add the flowers, so you can't use it in "Fast Graphics" because all the transparent pixels will turn into solid colors.
However, I made an alternate version of this texture pack, that one cannot be used in "Fast Graphics" either, but it simulates the textures that the leaves have when you use that configuration, This is the texture pack ;)

Should I also just change the "Fast graphics" in the settings of my game?
So you should turn it off too, but since the leaves no longer have transparency that should make up for it
