I don't mean to rush you man, but even an update about the progress on 1.9 would help, as I'm worried you might've abandoned this.

I've been helping him do QA testing on his 1.9 pack, so I can confirm it exists, but I haven't talked to him a few weeks, so I don't know the current progress.

How about now? Its been a couple weeks.
Any news?
Edit Reply Delete
Once again, I spoke to Ozo briefly, and he told me that the final pack would be ready for final testing in a couple days. This pack should include content through 1.10
Edit Reply Delete
I briefly talked to him the other day, and he said he's still working on it. The unfinished pack I've been testing is largely complete, but there are still some problems. I pointed these out to him, so hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Thank you so much for responding!
It really helps to hear news once in a while. Calms my nerves and helps me be patient. (I don't think asking every couple of weeks is really "bothersome.")
I'm glad that it's moving forward. Can't wait to see the finished project. =)

I absolutely love this texture pack. I started using it back when I first started playing MC (2012 or 2013?), and I've literally never used another pack. Thanks for keeping it going for so long! Really looking forward to seeing 1.9! :D

In short, no. I've been working on mine for almost six years now and when it was a mod it was 8 separate packs. I don't ask my users to pay for models because that's a dick move.

No, i've updated the supporter pack twice on Patreon since 2 years back, which generated around 58$. I do have a life and a "normal" job. With your mentality you should then hate on everyone who makes something for anything, except the ones who made the core mechanics. You should hate on Mojang for making money using JAVA. You should hate on Sun Microsystems for making money using Windows to create JAVA. You should hate on Bill Gates for using computer chips (That someone else made), so on and so forth.

I do dislike some things about all of the people and entities you've mentioned, but not for those reasons. The distaste I have for your actions is a special one reserved just for people like you.

But to each his own. You have just as much a right to be a scumbag about your models as I have to call you out on it.

Hardly.

It is. I mean, he's not even asking them to pay him. Heck, would you do something that you work on for hours, or even days, and not expect people to at least want to thank the man in some way. I see it more as an option cause he's not even asking anyone to do so.

I've been doing this for six years and my models are free. So, yes, I would.

TQuin, he just doesn't operate like you, sorry everyone doesn't think like you. This is completely acceptable. Maybe making resource packs is in your blood or you find some pleasure out of it, but it's quite tedious to other people. Perhaps its tedious to Ozo so he slows down after a while. He needs something to drive him to take these long hours out of his life to make eyecandy for other people. In this case, of many cases, donations aren't greedy, but a way of supporting someone using time in their short lives to make something quite beautiful.

Donations by definition imply giving without expectation of reward. The situation you are describing is transactional in nature, and considering the fact that most resource pack developers provide this feature without any supplementary expectation is cheap and tacky. The decision can be "acceptable" and still be cheap and tacky, which it is. We each have an equal right to our opinions, but yours is less qualified due to lack of experience, unless I am mistaken and if you would suggest that I am please show your work.

TQuin. Please. Stop hating on a pack I like better than yours and a pack creator I like better than you. It's just not cool.

I didn't come here to split hairs over who likes what, to each his own. You're confusing hate for a general disagreement based on principle. It's kind of shit for a mod developer to restrict a normal expected feature behind a payment wall. My position on that isn't going to change. If you think that behavior is neato and lots of fun, good for you. You can ride that nope train all the way to this guy's bank.

You sound incredibly bitter and jealous. If you can't stand the thought of someone making money from a creative pursuit, then that says more about you than it does about Ozo.

This is a beautiful pack and Ozo deserves every bit of success. If you think your own work is on par with Ozo's (it isn't) and think that not asking for money for it makes you morally superior (it doesn't) then you're deluded.

I've not drawn any such comparison nor leveled any criticism regarding quality. You've got a lot of nerve accusing me of delusion in a post largely comprised of conjecture and misplaced accusations.

Could you also upload the texture pack to Curge Forge?

I'm looking for a play tester/feedback/bug report person.

The idea here is for you to give me advice/tips on what to fix/add/improve
Since i don't play much Minecraft myself anymore it's kinda hard for me to find the interest to go through the increasing amount of blocks/new items and find bugs/see what needs improving.

You should've used OzoCraft for quite some time, so that you're familiar with it.
You should play Minecraft frequently, so that you're "in the business" so to speak.

If you think that you're the right person to help me, please leave your Steam ID in a reply/PM.

Note: This is only for someone who's interested in improving OzoCraft first hand.
It does not generate any revenue.
