Simple Chairs 1.4.0
For Minecraft 1.20.5



The Simple Chairs datapack adds one thing. Chairs that you can sit on. The main concept behind this is that you can make chairs from most any material, and then place them into the world and sit on them. BUT, my main goal for this was to make it as optimized as possible. I was able to achieve functional chairs that require 0 ticking functions, meaning it should be perfectly optimized.

To use the chairs, simply craft them using the below recipes, then place them into the world like you would any other block.

You can sit on the chairs by right-clicking the seat.

You can decorate a chair by adding any carpet, snow layer, or pressure plate to it as a cushion. To do so, simply hold the item in your mainhand and right-click the seat.

You can change the model of the chair by right-clicking it with an axe. There are a total of 10 styles to choose from!

To remove the chair, left-click it and it will break and drop back into the world.

Hello! I've been using this datapack on my server for a few days now, and I'm loving it! I did find a conflict with another datapack, but I don't know what is causing what

If you try to use Simple Chairs and "Unlock All Recipies" from VanillaTweaks then your inventory will infinitly spawn chairs one by one into your inventory until it is full. But simple chairs works perfectly without Unlock All Recipies, so just a warning to anyone else that wants to use these datapacks together

Yeah, that is a well known issue that the VanillaTweaks team hasn't fixed for whatever reason. They break ALL recipes pretty much...
I got annoyed enough with it to make my own Unlock All Recipes datapack that doesn't have the issue.

It has worked on any modded I've tried. As long as Item Displays exist it should be good

I just get an item frame thats called a chair. Reloaded and didn't change.

It works on servers, yes.
As long as you aren't selling the chairs for real money on the server I'm good with any way you are planning on using it
