This was tested in 1.16 but I believe it will also work in 1.15 as well.

I'd like to credit Kikipunk and Daminator4113 for their Useful Composters datapack which provided me the functionality of summoning entities atop placed blocks, which is the backbone of this datapack.
*at least until late game :)
This datapack adds the following features:
Benefits:
- Furnace, Blast Furnace, and Smoker can now be powered with a Daylight Detector
- Shift + Click the top of the cooker with a Daylight Detector to connect them.
- The furnace will be powered during the day depending on the amount of sun the daylight detector receives.
- These panels have a 10 hour lifespan, and once they reach their maximum age they will need to be replaced.
- Does not support hoppers.
- Will not run at night or indoors.
