Texture Pack Not Showing (fixed)
so i have a pack called Axolotl Villagers, and it seems to not be working, it doesnt appear in the pack list. One of the people trying to download it messaging me that it wont work on 1.16.5. I just tried this myself and it does not work on 1.16.5 or 1.16.4. Nothing with the files has changed to my original pack except i zipped the folder so pmc accepts it. Help?
THIS IS URGENT ALL OF MY PACKS ARE BROKEN

Other than correct pack format and texture location, make sure you have content of the pack zipped instead of the whole folder:
Wrong Resourcepack structure:
RP.zip
|
folder
|
assets
pack.mcmeta
pack.png
Correct Resourcepack structure:
RP.zip

pack.mcmeta
pack.png

ok im all good at that front, ty. still not working for some reason...
At this point could you send me the resourcepack so I can test it by myself?
i found the issue, someone showed me that for some reason it duplicated one of the folders so that minecraft didnt read it. thank you for the help anyways
Oh, neat, glad you found the solution ^^
Completely random guess, but did you see if the pack.mcmeta has the version listed as 6?
you could have put the files in the wrong directory.
ty putting the .png files in [mypackname]/assets/textures/entities/villager and replace the original villager texture files.

just checked, theyre all in the right spot, and multiple (im guessing all) of my packs are now doing this
hm, weird.
i'll try that, ty
No problem :)
You can also try extracting the .jar file from .minecraft/versions/[yourversionhere].jar with a utility like WinRAR or 7-ZIP to view all the files and directories!
