Edo castle / The Tokyo Imperial Palace still sits in the southern part of Tokyo Chiyoda city.
It is the largest of Japan's many castles and was the central nucleus of the Edo shogunate, led by the Tokugawa.
This world data is an equal-sized reproduction of the largest such castle in Japan.
・Kan'eido Tenshukaku(Base of the mein tower)
・The turrets that existed in the Kan'ei period but were destroyed by fire
・Japanese-style buildings and trees seen in old photographs from the Meiji period
・The design drawings made in the Edo period and still remain
・The walkways of the Imperial Palace period, etc
These are combined on the basis of the Man'en Edo Castle.

The Honmaru Palace and Ninomaru Palace are also being constructed in Minecraft by looking at documents and drawings from the Koka and Man'ei periods.

Edo Castle
Currently called The Imperial Palace and located in the southern part of Chiyoda City, Tokyo, Japan. Its total area is equivalent to approximately 20% of Chiyoda City.
Until about 200 years ago, the Imperial Palace was known by the name Edo Castle, the largest castle in Japan and home of the Edo shogunate.
The castle was originally built by Dokan Ota on the eastern edge of the Kojimachi Plateau in 1457, and after Ieyasu Tokugawa entered Edo Castle in 1590, it became the Tokugawa's residence there.
For the next 260 years, the castle served as the seat of government for the Edo shogunate, where 15 generations of Tokugawa shoguns and their vassals conducted their political affairs and reigned as the symbol of the Edo period.
Although the Edo Castle had suffered five major fires in 260 years, it was restored several times, but on April 11, 1868, it was turned over to the new Meiji government forces.
Thereafter, the number of buildings was reduced and devastated by earthquakes, air raids, and fires until it was rebuilt as the Imperial Palace.
The ruins of the former Edo Castle are now known as the Imperial Palace, and the emperor resides in the former Nishi-no-Maru (present day Fukiage Garden). The Honmaru, Ninomaru, and Sanomaru sections of the former Edo Castle have been maintained as The Imperial Palace East Garden and have been open to the public since October 1, 1968.

今も東京都千代田区南部に鎮座し、人々から「 皇居 」の名で親しまれている 江戸城。
日本の数ある城郭の中で最大の面積を持ち、徳川将軍家および家臣軍率いる江戸幕府の中心核であった。
この世界データはそんな日本最大の城郭を本物と同じ大きさで再現したものです。
弘化・万延度江戸城を基礎に、
・寛永度天守閣
・寛永期には存在したが焼失した櫓
・明治時代の古写真に見られる和風建築や樹木
・江戸時代に作成され今も残る設計図
・皇居時代の歩道
などを組み合わせています。
今まで作った和風の城の中で最も巨大かつ全て内装付き。
再現した区域は現在の皇居東御苑にあたる本丸,二の丸, 三の丸に加え現在の北の丸公園、宮殿地区、吹上御苑、皇居外苑を含む一帯。（江戸城内郭）
隅田川と江戸湊、外堀によって囲まれる範囲で、現在の両国橋から神田川に沿って御茶ノ水、水道橋、市ヶ谷、四谷、赤坂、溜池、虎ノ門、幸橋に至る周囲約16キロにも及ぶ広大な領域もいずれ再現します。(江戸城外郭）
完成したらJAVA版と統合版の2種類のワールドデータを配布するかもしれません。

メイン建造物 : 江戸城寛永度天守 ５重５階地下１階の独立式層塔型天守
小学生時代に建設した天守閣を大改造しリニューアル。
高さ: 75ブロック (本物は68.63m)
江戸城の天守閣は、
江戸幕府初代将軍徳川家康による慶長度天守（1607年）
・2代目将軍徳川秀忠による元和度天守（1623年）
・3代目将軍徳川家光による寛永度天守（1638年）
と3度築かれている。
どの天守も鯱や破風の飾り板を金の延板で飾っていた。
現存する天守建地割絵図（断面図、立面図）やNPO法人「江戸城天守を再建する会」によると、天守台から天守棟木までが144尺（43.63m）、石垣下から入母屋屋根の大棟までが93尺5寸。（68.63m）
従来は59mと言われていたが本来の高さは68.63mである。
これは太陽の塔や23階ビルとほぼ同じ高さであり、姫路城天守の46.5mを遥かに凌駕する。
日本最大の面積を持つ城に建つ天守閣として相応しく、まさに江戸幕府の権威を体現した建造物とも言えよう。
だが寛永度天守は「明暦の大火（1657年）」により、完成から僅か19年で周囲の建物と共に焼失。
直ちに再建計画が立てられたが「泰平の世に天守閣は不要」との判断から江戸の町の復興に重点が置かれる。
実は天守閣があった時代より天守閣がなかった時代の方が長い。天守閣跡には御影石の天守台が築かれこれが現代まで残る事となる。
現在、民間では天守の木造復元を目的とするNPO法人「江戸城天守を再建する会」が活動している。
天守復元には文化庁宮内庁の許可が必要であり、双方は「慎重な検討が必要」との考えを示している。
建築資金の確保や、当時の和風の建築様式で建造する際の耐震の問題、歴史的背景や文化財保護の観点から鑑みても、東京の街に江戸城天守閣を再建する事は極めて難題が多く不可能に近い。

現在の皇居東御苑にあたる本丸,二の丸, 三の丸に加え、北の丸公園、吹上御苑、皇居外苑を含む皇居一帯（江戸城内郭）を引き続き建設中。
水堀や地形の造成が完了し残るは石垣や土塁の造成、建物の建設のみ。
2024年5月29日
・坂下門の建設
・下乗門木橋を架橋
・北の丸,西の丸,西の丸下の地形を再造成
・現在の皇居正門、二重橋、伏見櫓の建設
今後は現在の吹上御苑や各門や石垣の建設を行う。
並行して本丸北側の工事、
本丸御殿二の丸御殿の内装工事、平川門、竹橋御門、半蔵門、田安門、清水門などの建設を進めていきます。
