A question for anyone just clicking through, feel free to leave thoughts/opinions as you see fit!
I work on a medieval-fantasy Roleplay Server and I'm looking for more concrete thoughts on what makes people WANT to stay on and continue playing.
Everything is plot/story based, revolving around interpersonal character relationships revolving around the lore of the server. We have a series of over-arching worldwide events and storylines sprinkled in as well.
If you've ever been involved in something like this, or are looking to, what would get you involved?

What I always love to see is some being rocking up and deciding to cause some havoc. Another is an item or similar which can place specific players in roles of power, but that power-giving item can be stolen by others. Really great examples of both of these is S1 of Empires SMP, with a demon just pranking everyone, and the Crown.
