Shadow Golden: When Golden was 10, her parents taught her how to edit germile DNA. In her tests, she helped create a mustelids-like creature. She named the animal "Linnea".
Linnea was born with a few mutations, which she edited in. She survived for 7 years. Following Linnea's death, golden cryogenically froze her, as with her other dead pets. It was something like... she might have the technology to revive them one day. Her parents failed at reviving that allay, who just for the record, is now a casted construct hollow.
Back to Linnea... After I was conceived, and sometime after all the hollow breakout stuff, I was able to shapeshift, go to her old mansion, retrieve Linnea's body, and you know how I'm a hollow of Golden... so it's not a surprise what I did next.
My Linnea is none other than the original. I turned her into a hollow too.

Yeah... This protection is based on the Meta-Sculk's capacity of evolution. This meaning that it can adapt to about any kind of intruder.
